I am so happy that Rabbi Coffman has given me the chance to join his class over a conference call.I was so astonished to have had the opportunity to meet others like me around the world who shared the same feelings I had about my faith. It is always nice to meet others who are going through the same thing it makes you feel less lonely, but learning about Judaism, how can you feel lonely when you are constantly making blessings and have an immediate interaction with G-d from the moment you wake up.I feel so lucky to have had met Rabbi Coffman. He is so informative and at times I feel like, wow how blessed am I to have met someone who would give his time and would wake up at the crack of dawn to teach me Torah and the Jewish way of life.I couldn’t think of any reason why I wouldn’t recommend this class to anyone who was at a point in their lives where they felt like converting to Judaism.Rabbi Coffman is such an amazing person and I can’t thank him enough for finding the strength in him to teach us each morning at like 5am or 12 pm.Thank so much Rabbi Coffman! I have been attending your class for almost 1 yr and still feel the need and the urge to learn more. Whenever I have to miss a class for some reason, I am amazed at how much I miss Rabbi Coffman’s voice and how much I need to learn more Torah.

Rabbi Coffman is a unique breed among Orthodox Rabbis. He has always been there for me throughout my spiritual journey.
I recommended him to many of my friends and he has always come through.
His approach to teaching Judaism helps his students better understand the importance of being well educated in any major spiritual decision.
His approachable personality is the key to his success which I find very rare in my encounters with other Orthodox Rabbis.
I highly respect and admire Rabbi Coffman and feel honored in being considered a friend.

We attended classes with Rabbi Coffman for over 2 years. It was a tremendous time
of growth. Rabbi Coffman was always available to answer questions (no matter how
silly or insignificant they seem to us). If he did not know the answer, he was quick to
study the situation and provide us a answer (sometimes even going to his Rebbe, HaRav
Sternbuch). He has been with us through the complete process of conversion, starting with our
children and finally with us. He continues to be a faithful friend and mentor throughout
the process and I would highly recommend him to anyone desiring conversion. Baruch
Hashem, he even attended our children’s chassanahs (weddings) in Jerusalem!

When we decided to convert our first step was to look for a mentor, so after looking for months we were told about Rabbi Chaim Coffman. It was very exciting to know that if one is truly sincere about converting that Hashem will send you a mentor……Rabbi Coffman was sent to us.
It has been 20 months with him and no regrets. The classes are absolutely wonderful, when he teaches you can hear the passion he has for Torah. He is a Tzadik!
What I like about his classes is that he is compassionate, caring and hallarious……..my Bas Mitzvah age daughter (12) sits in class and also learns. In her school TDS, everyone knows that Rabbi Coffman is the coolest Rabbi in the world.
We have learned so much with his teachings that people in the community are impressed with our knowledge,
B’H, we still continue to learn with him.

This is my first experience with a Mentor and I must say that it has been a wonderful one.I particularly admire Rabbi Coffman’s passion for teaching and learning and how he can make any topic very interesting – and even fun to learn! What I particularly find amazing about Rabbi Coffman is his skill to make me think. I have had the chance to chat with him about a couple of topics and I don’t know how he does it, but somehow he always make think and reflect on what I’m doing.I would never think twice about recommending my Rabbi to anyone considering conversion. Not only will they enjoy his classes but also they will have a caring, helpful, wise and, above all, a kind friend who will happily share his knowledge and time with them.Rabbi: I will never thank G-d enough for having sent you to me and I will always be thankful to you for your patience, sense of humor and for giving me a chance to learn from you.

Probably the thing most converts to Judaism have in common is we come from pagan backgrounds. And so it is only natural that converts like my wife and I have insecurities and apprehensions from leaving a lifestyle and realm based upon false teachings and anti-Torah lies that we once thought were true… for a realm and lifestyle of real truth, of which we knew little. Determined to convert to Judaism our main concern was finding a serious Rabbi, based in Israel, who could not only steer us in the right direction but also connect with us on a personal level while helping us understand the intricacies of Judaism and the Torah. Our fears were quickly laid to rest when we met and experienced and continue to experience Rabbi Chaim Coffman’s warmth, understanding, devotion and zeal for HaShem, Judaism and Jews. Equally reassuring is his wealth of understanding the Judaic world. Not only has Rabbi Coffman made it possible for us to convert, but also Rabbi Coffman has opened the way for us to understand what we are learning and why, and how to put it into practical application. Finding that Rabbi Coffman makes the conversion process much easier and meaningful than what we first erroneously assumed, we gladly and most heartily recommend Rabbi Coffman to anyone seriously considering converting to Judaism. We cannot imagine having anyone else to guide us through the conversion process, as well as the reward of making a friend for life.
Kol hakavod, Rabbi Coffman!

Sincerely,
-Les and Tammy Cowan

One of my big concerns when starting the path to conversion was to find the right
teacher. A rabbi that loves Torah & doesn’t water down the mitzvot (commandments). A person with
personality, knowledge, and real desire to see you succeed. When I found Rabbi Coffman, I
found exactly that. He has called me to see how things are going and has been very fast about
answering questions that I have emailed him. He conveys how much he wants me
& others to succeed, but he isn’t hesitant to tell you that it isn’t easy.
He has been a great blessing to me and I will always be grateful for the time, the teachings, and his sincere encouragement.

“Rabbi Coffman and I first spoke on the phone for almost an hour long distance NYC to Israel where he answered all of my questions about his program. I had many. In his classes you will learn more than just what you need for your conversion. He is accessible for questions, comments and concerns outside of class as well; which to me was a life-saver. I learned with him start to finish. Thanks, Rabbi, I’m an official ‘member of the tribe’ now!! Warmest regards,

Rabbi Coffman truly helped my family, and I get on the right track as far what to expect from the Jewish community. I was very surprised by his straightforwardness, and he gave a real glimpse of the expectations of the local Orthodox rabbi perspective. It helped us deal with the process of converting and the emotional aspect of it. Rabbi Coffman is a real blessing to listen to, and his classes are amazing. I felt very comfortable asking him any questions or concerns. Almost three years later we finally went to the Mikvah, and I was so happy to thank him for being the “Real Deal”. I get questions all the time who to talk to about converting to real Torah Judaism, and I always recommend Rabbi Coffman!

Rabbi Coffman offers in-depth conversion classes three times a week to prepare potential converts to orthodox Judaism to live a Jewish life and answer any question that one’s local rabbinical court (beit din) may ask them in the conversion process.  Personally, his classes provided me additional and more in-depth knowledge of living as an orthodox Jew than my conversion tutor due to my tutor only being able to meet me once a week for a hour.  In addition he answers questions regarding the conversion material at the end of this class sessions and how Jewish law (Halachah) applies in particular situations.  I personally recommend his classes to both potential converts to Judaism and to Jews, who desire to live as an orthodox Jew but have a minimal Jewish education.

I was raised in a christian home and like everyone else in the family, we lived the life of believers in jc.
I began to have doubts about my christian beliefs in 2014 and in October of that year I denied jc and all his claims.
I turned straight to messianics, and things remained that way until April 2015 when I was in California on holiday and had a massive wake up call from HaShem….I knew that the my xtian and messianic beliefs were nowhere …my defences failed at the entrance of a massive bolt of truth from HaShem that neither jc/yoshkie were the son of God, neither were they Mashiach Ben Dovid! Also in that bolt of truth, came the knowledge that Israel is the suffering servant of HaShem and not a man !
What was to be done.  I asked a friend what I should do with this truth … he said that I should contact Rabbi Skobac….who? I’d never heard of him.
I eventually made contact and it was there my journey became clear . I spoke with Rabbi Skobac and he put me in touch with a Rabbi in London who put me in touch with the London Beth Din.
I returned to Wales, all set for conversion to Orthodox Judaism, but where was I to start ?
My this time I’d been led to a now defunct FB group where one of the admins was Rabbi Coffman!  I then discovered that he ran conversion classes and i signed up.
I was later to move to Manchester Orthodox community to begin my conversion process with the Beth Din of London and Manchester.
These classes ….were foundational in helping me off to a good start once I’d been accepted by the London Beth Din as a conversion candidate.
I’m delighted to say that after two years plus of study with an approved tutor I am now an Orthodox Jew.
Rabbi Coffman’s classes laid a very firm foundation for my success in converting.

“I am enormously grateful to Rabbi Chaim Coffman for teaching me for over 2 years, by reason of which I was recently brought under the wings of the Divine Presence. Rabbi Coffman is EXCEPTIONAL. His classes are a great deal of fun, not to mention interesting, interactive, chock-full of practical and useful information, and timeless and highly creative Torah insights. Rabbi Coffman is a born teacher, a natural: he breaks down the most abstruse and complicated concepts and renders them accessible and understandable to his students. His knowledge of the Holy Torah is extremely broad and very, very deep. He welcomes questions and does not shy away from controversy. Rabbi Coffman is also a shrewd judge of human nature, an acute observer of the human condition, and an empathetic friend to his many fans and students. I cannot recommend his courses highly enough, or praise them adequately, both for their content and for their always-interesting presentation. It says in Pirke Avot (Mishnah 6a), “make for yourself a Rabbi; acquire for yourself a friend.” In Rabbi Coffman, one gets both! Do not hesitate to take ANY of his courses. You will never regret it.”

I started my journey in 2011. I lived in a very small Catholic town and I knew very few orthodox jews.  I spent the first four years from home, in my car, at work reading, researching and learning all about Judaism.  I drove all over to many different synagogues and events, and everyone was very helpful and welcoming, but I lacked a relationship to an orthodox rabbi who was willing to guide me on my path towards conversion. I approached an orthodox rabbi near me. He did not agree to sponsor me, but instead encouraged me to come to his weekly shiur and lended me a siddur. From there, I started to attend his weekly shiur for woman, where a few religious women took me under their wings and encouraged me to find a structured program because in our community, there were not many resources for conversion. I didn’t even know where to begin to look, but that very week, in the middle if the night, I woke up searching the internet and found a radio show called Light Unto the Nations on Arutz Sheva radio and Rabbi Chaim Coffman was the guest speaker. I reached out to him and he immediately responded. We spoke by phone for an hour, and he sent me his sample syllabus and resume. I approached the Rabbi who gave weekly shiurs. He thought it was a good idea. I contacted the RCA Beit Din near me and they also approved me to proceed. For one year, I committed myself to learning 2x a week with Rabbi Coffman. One of the best pieces of advice I received during my journey was to find a structured program for conversion while living outside of a community, and Rabbi Coffman was the one. He teaches the ins and outs, and topics you won’t necessarily find in a book off a library shelf. His classes kept my interest, and I also met another woman online from his class who lived an hour from me and we spent shabbat together.  Once I became serious, Rabbi Coffman helped lay the groundwork, such as the laws of shabbos, and reciting brachos over different foods. Eventually I ended up having to sell my home, and move, which is something Rabbi Coffman also speaks about. It is not an easy path, but for anyone who is reading this, who is sincere in their heart and serious about their commitment to live a Jewish life, do not give up.  Even after I moved, I had to find a local structured program all over again and the dynamics changed, but the knowledge I gained from Rabbi Coffman put me on the straight and right path. I can testify that Hashem does not take His eyes off His flock. When I didn’t know where to go, I felt a push and doors opened and Hashem lead the way by providing me with the exact people I needed to guide me, and Rabbi Coffman is one of those people. Hashem made a promise to our forefathers and fulfills those promises. I completed my conversion three and a half years later in 2018 and I am happily living now in Riverdale, NY — Talia Nurit

Rabbi Coffman has truly been a blessing. My nefesh has returned home to my people and Hashem. Rabbi is truly dedicated to teaching Torah and is a wonderful mentor! He is through and always has an answer for any questions that you have and has a great sense of humor. He is thorough with his outlines and presentations on Torah, Tanah and everything to do with Judaism and living a Jewish orthodox life. I have been with rabbi many years. I am more than overjoyed that Hashem has given me the desire of my heart and I have completed this conversion on 1 Shevat.  I wish everyone that is being mentored by Rabbi Coffman all the blessings that Hashem can provide you on this journey.  Be persistent, study and live the life Hashem has commanded us to live.
